Abstract

The recent outbreak of the new coronavirus (COVID-19), which has been raging around the world, has forced major changes in the world of sports, both professional and amateur Club. Activities at universities are not only a way to improve performance, but also a “place of learning” that fosters diversity among students, and a place to learn the qualities necessary to be a member of society. The recent changes in the environment around us have had a tremendous impact on the physical and mental health of students. In this study, we investigated the impact of the change in the environment of club activities caused by the Corona disaster on the students of the athletic department of the University of O in terms of their employment orientation. From the results of the survey, a significant difference was found between the continuation group and the other groups, indicating that the impact on their lives was more significant for athletic students who had a strong desire to continue competing after employment. Therefore, it was necessary to make efforts to understand the mental status of each individual in the field of instruction, and to give careful instruction.
