Abstract

1) The efficiency of the B C G vaccine was not apparently influenced by exposure to the low temperature of liquid nitrogen (-195°C) for 24 hours.
2) As the medium for the drying B C G in vacuo from the frozen state 1-2% pepton solution is to be prefered.
3) Dried B C G vaccine is resistant against the temperature of 37°C and direct sunshine for 10 hours.
4) Therfore dried B C G vaccine is possible to be sent simply as a parcel to distant places and be inoculated after preservation of several months without freezer, even in summer.
5) Dried and preserved B. C. G. vaccine can provoke positive tuberculin-reaction by inoculation to tuberculin negative persons in the same grade as freshly prepared emulsion.
