Cytological Studies of Thiamine Decomposing Bacterium with the Application of Ultramicrotomy and Electron Microscopy

Abstract

The inner structure of thiamine decomposing bacterium, Bacillus aneurinolyticus Kimura et Aoyama, has been studied by means of ultramicrotomy and electron microscopy. A fine net-like structure has been shown to exist in the nuclear site of the bacterium, and its behavior during the process involved in spore formation has been discussed.
