Material of the genus Pisionella HARTMAN obtained from a sandy bottom off the Tango Peninsula, the Sea of Japan, was examined. It well agreed with P. hancocki HARTMAN, the only known species of the genus. This is the first record of the genus and species from the west coast of the Pacific.
