Abstract

Protoplast-derived calli of peppermint grown to 2mm were transferred to differentiation medium containing 0.1mg/l of NAA, and various concentrations of BA or 4-PU (N-phenyl-N′-4-pyridyl urea). 4-PU gave a higher frequency of shoot formation than the 1-5mg/l of BA used in previous studies.
