Abstract
Summary After the C-banded interphase nuclei and mitotic metaphase chromosomes of Nigella damascena were sequentially stained with CMA and DAPI, the centromeric C-dots of all chromosomes displayed bright fluorescence with DAPI and the interstitial C-bands located at the secondary constricted regions of three pairs of metacentric chromosomes displayed fluorescence with CMA. The other C-bands were also brightly fluoresced with either CMA or DAPI.
