Abstract
Using the model which the pr, sent writer has proposed in explaining the phenomenon of fusion, coefficient of thermal expansion is obtained. We have obtained βTm=0.115, where β is the coefficient of cubical expansion and Tm is the melting temperature. Observed values of βTm for many simple liquids are of the order of 0.1
