The Mean Angle between Two Vector Sets

Abstract

It is pointed out that the Lambert' method or the Dietzius' or the Sverdrup's of determination of the mean angle between two vector sets {u} and {v} may give an angle θ which is quite meaningless in practice. The author gives a stochastical condition fur non-appearance of such a ghostly angle by analysing the tensor of the type uv•vv^-1
