CYCLO E POLY(ORGANOPHOSPHAZENES) FUNCTIONALIZED WITH OXAZOLINE GROUPS. SYNTHESIS AND EXPLOITATION

Abstract

In this communication we present results on the preparation of cyclo and polyphosphazenes containing free oxazoline groups and on their possible practical utilization as new antioxidants, photoinitiators, chain extenders and starting materials for the preparation of blends between phosphazene polymers and organic macromolecules functionalized with free carboxylic groups. Moreover the modification of poly(ethylene terephthalate) with a new cyclophosphazene derivative which bears six free oxazoline groups leads to a material which shows an enhanced melt viscosity
