Abstract

We built tracking database of typhoons, depressions and kuroshio current. The data set was captured from meteorological charts and covers since 1915 to 2006. We analyzed changes over time of number, duration time and minimum pressure of typhoons and depressions. The two main result are followings; first we find typhoon pressure has been reducing (strengthening) since 1915, second depressions are increased to move to southeast of Hokkaido on northwest Pacific Ocean. Adding, we re-analyzed wave climate archieved data. The result shows some station indicate the wave climate becomes stronger.
