Abstract
In order to accurately evaluate effectiveness of introducing District Heating and Cooling (DHC) systems using wastewater heat, simulation programs were developed. Their characteristics were as follows; the wastewater flow, temperature and thermal energy demand were calculated along with the main sewer using GIS building data; hourly temperature values of wastewater and efficiency loss in partial load of heat pumps were taken into account. Coefficients of performance of heat pumps were calculated for each condition. The optimal place to introduce the Sewage Waste Heat DHC system in Tokyo Shibaura Treatment Area was searched from the viewpoint of CO2 emission reduction.
