Abstract
Oblique arrangements of strip roughness cause cellular motion and it brings various type of function desired to rivers and streams. In this paper, flow over oblique arrangements of strip roughness is numerically analyzed by using a k-E turbulence model particularly to describe cellular motion. The results are consistent to the experimental data obtained in irrigation canal and laboratory flume. The present method can analyze also the flow with oblique strip roughness on the side wall, and it can be applied to design Denil-type fishway.
