Uniaxial Compressive Strength of Sea ice along Okhotsk Sea coast of Hokkaido and Sakhalin

Abstract

Uniaxial compressive Strength is one of the main parameters, which determines the valueof load on marine structures in ice-infested sea area. Sea ice has defferent properties bymaritime and weather condition, and strength of natural sea ice has much dispersion, becauseit depends on a number of factors (ice temperature, salinity, structure, etc.). therefore, it isnessesary for the exploitation in Okhotsk Sea to estimate the appricabitity of formula andfactor influencing on uniaxial compressive strength of sea ice in Okhotsk Sea.
