Abstract
It was confirmed that the horizontal recession made from the visor and notch was effective to expand the inhabitables pacef or marinep eriphytonsi n mediolittoralz one (Hiyama, et. al 2001). However, it was thought that this was a peculiar phenomenon because the field investigationw as conducted at a single point. Therefore, we conduct field observationa t otherp oints to verifyt he effect of the horizontalr ecession.
From the observations at the Miura Peninsula and Manazuru Peninsulai n the Sagami Bay, it was reconfiremed that the horizontal recession is effective to expand the inhabitable space for marine periphytons
