Abstract
Silt and clay deposit is common in fishing ports located on rivers on the Ariake Sea side of Fukuoka and Saga Prefectures. In the ports sediment builds up rapidly, making it necessary to dredge the harbor almost every year in order to maintain navigation channels, anchorages and depth of quay. Thus disposing of the sediment is problem.
We studied on a set of environmentally friendly technologies for processing and recycling soft dredged silt making use of hardening and granulating technologies. These technologies will be useful for improvement and development of fishing ground and artificial formation of tideland and so on.
