Abstract
Fuji Coast (the distance of coast line 19km) is located at the northPart of Suruga Bay. Fuji Coast has been damaged by ocean waves and storm surge caused by the typhoon and the strong atmospheric low pressure system. Recently, Fuji coast was damaged by the typhoon 0422 (Ma-on) and 0423 (Tokage). This paper presents the characteristic of ocean wave developments on Fuji coast caused by the typhoon 0422 and 0423. In order to investigate the relation between the pressure, the wind and the wave, the field survey data were analyzed. In order to show the time history of the characteristics of the wave development, the third-generation wave model (SWAN) was applied. The numerical results can be shown the characteristic of typhoon 0422 and 0423.
