Abstract
For making maintenance plan for sloping breakwater covered with wave-dissipating blocks, we developed “ maintenance management support method”. In this method, relative damage level is used for evaluation of deformation for wave-dissipating blocks, and the damage of sloping breakwater is calculated by Monte Carlo simulation. As the result of these, occurrence probability of relative damage level for wave-dissipating block in future is estimated. With relative damage level that maintenance of sloping breakwater and permission excess probability of relative damage level, the time of next maintenance are examined. In addition, by calculating repair costs of wave-dissipating block and risk of sloping breakwater, a life cycle cost during lifetime is calculated. The economical next time of repair and an interval of maintenance are examined by life cycle cost. By using this method, better maintenance planning are made.
