Study on Process Planning System for Holonic Manufacturing - Process Planning considering both Machining Time and Cost -

Abstract

The purpose of the present research is to develop an integrated process planning and scheduling system, which is applicable to the holonic manufacturing systems. A systematic method is proposed to select suitable machining sequences and sequences of machining equipment based on the objective functions of the time and the cost, by applying the genetic algorithm (GA) and the dynamic programming (DP) methods.
