Abstract
Removal of contaminations adhered to medical equipment used at the surgery in the hospital is an extremely important process and has significant influences on the downstream disinfection and sterilization processes. Contaminations adhered to medical equipments are usually washed out using a brush or ultrasonic washing device. However, thorough washing of pipe inside or of components with complicated configurations is difficult and therefore, development of a new washing technology has long been expected. In such background, magnetic field assisted cleaning method was developed by the application of polishing technology using magnetic field assisted machining method. Magnetic field assisted cleaning method is a new technology for washing the position where cleaning is difficult using flexible particle brush formed along magnetic line of force. In this paper, the basic characteristic was examined, and was clarified to be effective for cleaning of the pipe inside.
