Abstract
In this research, we proposed a new plane magnetic abrasive finishing process by the application of a constant pressure magnetic brush to improve the form accuracy of the workpiece. That is, it is a process by which a constant pressure is applied to the magnetic pole of conventional magnetic brush, the machining force acted to the surface of the workpiece through the magnetic particle brush formed at the magnetic pole surface by the magnetic force, and a precise machining process is achieved. In this experiment, the brass disk that drilled a hole was used as a workpiece. The results showed that the burr can be removed by use of this new plane magnetic abrasive finishing process, and this process is useful than the conventional magnetic brush for improving the form accuracy of the workpiece.
