Abstract
In this paper, we propose an obstacle avoidance method using key–frame method in order to simplify a motion generation process. A user makes character′s walking path lines by sketching method. The character walks on the path lines smoothly and avoids obstacles automatically. The traveling direction of the character is calculated based on positional information of the character′s root, the obstacles, and the vertices of the path lines.
