Decision of range of tool inclination

Abstract

In these days, cutting machines with flexible cutting direction become popular, but efficient methods for decidingcutting directions with sufficient stability and safety are not known. In this paper, a GPU accelerated algorithmfor fast deciding the optimal cutting direction in machining a deep complex mold part is proposed. This algorithmdetermines the optimal direction by rendering the offset shape in a perspective projection manner.
