Development of Reverse Engineering Software MOSAIC(The 1st report)

Abstract

We continue to develop the Reverse engineering software MOSAIC. The characteristic functions of MOSAIC generate NURBS surface quickly without interactive motion, and output suitable CAD like modeling results. Our method are the Region Growing using plane proxy for segmentation and the Multi–scale CSRBF for interpolation of point cloud. And we found to effective results using second–order polynomial surface.
