Continuity Control for Triangular Spline Surfaces

Abstract

We propose a method which controls continuity of triangular spline surfaces. Many present industrial products have compound surfaces which cannot be expressed by a rectangular mesh but a triangular mesh. Using the triangular mesh, a subdivision surface can be expressed and used for many applications in computer graphics, but its continuity control is not realized yet.
