Study of post EILD grinding cleaning using high pressure micro jet of water droplets

Abstract

Precision cleaning is necessary to remove small particles on Electrolytic In–Process Dressing (EILD) grinding of nano–meter order. In this study, some samples of superhard carbide were made on EILD grinding and were cleaned by High Pressure Micro Jet (HPMJ). Results were indicated that surface of samples were roughed by erosion effect of spraying from the HPMJ. But it has potential of cleaning the surface of samples by changing spraying conditions of HPMJ.
