Abstract
In this research, we proposed a new electricity and magnetic compound processing method in which a small electromagnetic coil was used as a tool. In this method, electromagnetic coil and the magnetic field interact and cause an electromagnetic force to be exerted on the electromagnetic coil, and this electromagnetic force was used to finish the workpiece surface. If a planar coil was placed in a narrow part, the fields due to the current–carrying coil and the magnetic field interact and cause a magnetic attraction and the repulsion to be exerted on the electromagnetic coil by the changes in the magnetic field set up outside the narrow part of the workpiece. The processing can be achieved by the movement of a planar coil, and it was clarified to be able to achieve the processing of a narrow part by the result of the processing experiment.
