Abstract
The value of product in market mainly depends on the change impacts on the scenes of the customer life. These change impacts can be described as the sales catalog. This paper proposes direct design method of the sales catalog of product. According to the sales catalog information, this design method enables the designer to generate the product information which can satisfy the catalog requirements. The sales catalog can be represented by a required behavior model that consists of the scenes and events of product and customer. An integrated model of required behavior and the product is proposed. The required behavior consists of scenes, events and environmental attributes. The product model consists of the product structure and behavior. The effectiveness of this design methodology was confirmed by a design example of a stapler.
