Abstract
There are special goods called "Gift set" only shipped for a specific period, a middle-year and an end-year, at the distribution center. vGift set" consists of a combination of several kinds of normal goods. In order to make "Gift set" at the distribution center, it becomes necessary to make a plan, taking into account the number of stocked good, the lot size of "Gift set", a due day of "Gift set", and an arrival day of required goods to compose "Gift set". This study proposes a new practical solution by formulating the gift set planning problem as a scheduling problem including an element of knapsack problem.
