Abstract
With an increase of wheel speed in cylindrical plunge grinding the safety and the grinding accuracy can be reduced by the resulted work regenerative self-excited chatter vibration in grinding process. In this paper the development process of the self-excited chatter vibration is analyzed, and the prevetative guideline to the set-up conditions for the above problems is shown by considering the limited saturation of the chatter caused by the geometrical interference between the wheel and the work in regenerative effect.
