Abstract
The total hip replacement is performed as cure of osteoarthritis of the hip. However, the artificial hip joint has a lot of problems that need to be solved. It is difficult to insert in the optimum position at the socket and select the optimum artificial femoral head size. Because, an insert position at the socket and an artificial femoral head size have been decided by doctor′s experience. This research aims to develop the suitable artificial hip joint for an individual patient. The effect of an insert position at the socket and an artificial femoral head size on the stress distribute at the pelvis.
