Measurement of Glossy Surface by Optical Profilometer

Abstract

Measurement methods of displacement or profile that detect laser spot position on the test object are unsuitable for specular surface where the reflected light is not scattered. Coating the surface with paint is effective, however the treatment is not applied always. The test object can be measured by wrapping in rubber film on which the light is scattered in this experiment. The object consists of concave surface is measured under the condition where the film is stuck on the surface by evacuation.
