The metal hardness test has been established, but the softness measurement of the soft things with the viscoelasticity has not been established. The purpose of this research is to development the equipment and is to establish the measuring method in order to numeric the condition of food objects. The new contactless and nondestructive test method using low air jet was adopted. It is possible that the softness and the viscoelasticity of the objects were measured by this contactless measurement equipment. The result between contact measurement method and contactless measurement method were compared. Then, the effectiveness of the contactless measurement equipment was obtained.
