Performance evaluation of structured lapping film by estimating grinding forces

Abstract

It is said that lately developed minute pyramidal structured lapping films have more eminent finishing characteristics. It is because new abrasive grains come out during grinding process. However, details and its relation to the grinding conditions are not yet revealed. In this research, characteristics of this new tool were investigated by estimating changes of grinding forces by changing grinding load and grinding time.
