Abstract
The mechanochemical superabrasive stone,i.e., the CBN stone containing CeO2 abrasive generates efficiently a smooth surface with negative skewness that is suitable for rolling bearing.It is also expected that the addition of CeO2 abrasive to the CBN stone has an effect of decreasing the damaged layer.Therefore, the experimental stress analysis by X-ray and the dynamic hardness test were carried out.The result showed that the depth of damaged layers and the compressive residual stress in damaged layers and compressive residual stress in damaged layers decreased due to the chemical action of CeO2 abrasive.
