Abstract
This report deals with the machining performance of electro-chemical discharge machining (ECDM) with multiple electrodes. ECDM is used to machine grooves and holes on insulated materials such as glass. However, many cracks are observed around a machined hole because of the accumulation of discharge heat. The discharge current was forced dispersed by switching the electrode to decrease the cracks. Its machining performance was compared with those with multiple electrodes connected electrically in parallel and a single electrode.
