Abstract
It has been proposed variety of methodologies to evaluate muscle fatigue (e.g., measurement of blood lactate level, etc). Those methods do not suit for real-time evaluation so that their low accuracy is not practical level. Therefore, we propose a methodology to quantify the magnitude of muscle fatigue in real time by measuring surface electromyography (EMG). In this paper, we focus on changes in amplitude and frequency of surface EMG due to muscle fatigue, and quantitatively analyze the relation between the changes and muscle fatigue.
