Abstract
Micro integrated laser Doppler blood flow sensor (MEMS sensor) is anticipated as a sensor for animal watching so as to prevent avian influenza infection which has been a subject of our capital concern recently. However, there are challenges, such as light weight and low power consumption, for applying the conventional MEMS sensor to birds. To solve these challenges, we have newly developed MEMS sensor for birds, being aimed at light weight, low power consumption and wireless signal transmittance. We describe the results of attaching these developed sensors to chickens.
