Abstract
This paper describes the development of the cutting process of pure titanium material using electrolyzed reduced water of dilute sodium chloride instead of the cutting fluid which is not environmentally consciousness. First, as cutting solution, we processed an end milling of titanium material using electrolyzed reduced water and cutting fluids (water-miscible cutting fluid and water-immiscible cutting fluid). Next, we measured the microscopic shape and the surface roughness of the cutting surface, and then analyzed the cleanliness and the chemical composition of the surface layer in the cutting surface. We got the result that electrolyzed reduced water can be applied to the cutting process of pure titanium material as cutting fluid sufficiently.
