Abstract
This report deals with an application of a small mobile device, ″AZARASHI (Seal) Mechanism″ to a manipulation device. A manipulation device employed L-shape AZARASHI mechanism for the x, y and theta-motions, and one-DOF Seal mechanism for the z-motion. A glass bead with a diameter of 60-70 um was manipulated with a pair of micro-tweezers. Local Machining Station (LMS) method was expected to improve the positioning performance of the manipulation. The performance for the manipulation based on LMS method was measured.
