Abstract
Eye-gaze interface is expected to be used more widely, but its complex calibration is problem. In this study, we studied reducing calibration by lowering the demanded resolution of eye-gaze measurement, to help operation of assisting manipulator for handicapped person. Using plural infra-red light sources as candidate points of gazing, a method to distinguish the actual gazing point based on processing of eyeball image is studied. From the experiment system, number of points of calibration can be reduced to 1 point from currently used 9 points.
