Abstract

A truing technique that can sharpen and flatten diamond grains on a hemispherical tool working surface was developed for a microgerinding tool made of porycrystalline diamond (PCD) with a primaly diamond grain size of 4 to 6 μm and a tool tip radius of 0.1 mm.
