Abstract
Torsional leaf spring mechanism is a torsional displacement mechanism that can keep the bending flexure of the rotation axis small, and it can keep the rotating displacement of torsion large. We use this mechanism to the fulcrum of a displacement reduction mechanism. Therefore, the torsional stiffness is important to displacement reduction system analysis. To measure the torsional stiffness around the rotation axis, there are static methods and dynamic methods. In the static method the torsional stiffness is determined from the loading force and displacement of the lever attached to the mechanism. Also in the dynamic method, the torsional stiffness is determined from the change of resonant frequency caused by a variety loading mass on the mechanism. In this study, it was determined by measuring the dynamic torsional stiffness for torsion leaf spring mechanism that consists of four sheets of leaf spring, we describe the methods and the results.
