Fast Non-uniform Gaussian Convolution of Image Manifolds

Abstract

Edge-preserving smoothing filter has been very important in CG and image processing communities. Recent advance in domain transformations of image manifolds has a considerable attention. Unfortunately, it leads a very difficult task of non-uniform convolutions. In this research, we propose a fast and novel Gaussian convolution technique for the domain transformed image manifolds by using the so-called fast Gauss transform.
