Improvement of the monitoring system

Abstract

Now, extracorporeal circulation is performed as a treatment of severe cardiac hypofunction. However, extracorporeal circulation with artificial heart lung apparatus cannot output pulsatile flow that heart makes it intrinsically. In this research, we suggest a system that keeping pulsatile flow when a pulsatile flow-generating circulatory-assist device is used in extracorporeal circulation. This report refers to the improved monitoring system and its usefulness.
