Abstract
From the view point of biocompatibility, it is desirable to use real bone tissue for reconstructive surgery of skeleton. Bone tissue can be cultured and differentiated from osteoblast, it is difficult to culture cells in vitro to a designed shape. It is known that the growth rate of osteoblast can be enhanced by the mechanical stimulation during the culture. In this study, we had proposed a piezoelectric culture device that can apply different mechanical stimulus simultaneously to the osteoblast, in order to investigate the differentiation conditions of effective bone culture.
