Abstract
With the current method to detect two-dimensional contouring error by the cross grid encoder now widely used and to magnify and represent it, the inner contouring error inside a corner is discontinuously magnified and represented. A few methods to avoid this problem have been proposed, but they have restrictions, which are an offset value must be set or commanded paths have conditions. This paper proposes a new method to continuously magnify and represent the inner contouring error inside a corner without setting an offset value or conditions for commanded paths, and describes the results of some experiments.
