Abstract

Currently, static pressure bearings and magnetic bearings are developed as non-contact support bearings. The static pressure bearings require a device to supply pressure fluid. The magnetic bearings require sensors to detect the position of the shaft, mechanisms to control it, and electronic circuits. Therefore, in this study, we aimed to develop a bearing that is non-contact support and with few components, and used the reaction of Ampere force as the supporting force. We proposed and manufactured a bearing mechanism that restoring force is generated on the shaft and demonstrated its performance.
