Abstract

Vertical-multi-articulated robots are widely used in welding, handling and operating in manufacturing. It can be expected as an inexpensive and highly versatile AM that AM by welding overlay becomes possible by a robot which equip a welding torch using CO2 gas. Since CAM-like software is not widely used in robot welding, the author tried to generate a torch pathway using Kodatuno as an alternative. In addition, the forming and cutting characteristics of the welding overlay were examined.
