Abstract

Appropriate adjustment of NC parameters is indispensable for high speed and high accuracy of NC machine tools. However, parameter adjustment is currently performed empirically by skilled technicians. There is a trade-off between speed and accuracy, and it is difficult to make well-balanced adjustments. Therefore, a parameter adjustment method that realizes the desired speed, accuracy and low vibration is expected In this study, we evaluate the performance based on speed, accuracy and vibration, and propose a method for efficiently adjusting NC parameters by design of experiments.
