Developing Architecture-based scenario design methodology for platform-enabled circular economy business

A case study of waste collection system based on IoT technology

Abstract

In order to support the planning of digital platform-enabled circular economy (CE) business, the authors have developed an architecture, which systematically defines components of such businesses. The authors have also proposed a methodology for developing the business scenarios using the architecture with consistency among the components. In order to validate the effectiveness of the proposed methodology, business scenario in case of the introduction of the waste collection system based on IoT technology was designed in this study.
